Why did you choose this car?
I’ll be honest, I previously owned a Cruze LS prior to this one. It got totaled out and it had some sentimental value to me so I searched for another with a better package and came across this LT. Why a Cruze? Not sure to be completely honest, but the community was very welcoming and I had made some good friends from it.
What was the main goal when the build started and what is it now?
The goal when I started the build wasn’t too much, I had basically done lowering springs and some wheels and I didn’t really intend for it to go as far as it had but the opportunities were right so I took the leap. As of now I find myself with a bagged Cruze on some tasteful 3 piece wheels. I find myself to be making even more friends throughout the car community than I had ever thought I would. I’m happy with where the car is as of right now but I know there’s always room for change.
What are your future plans for the car?
Hmm, I’ve thought about future plans but I’m on the fence about some. First off, I’d like to make a proper trunk setup, followed by getting the wheels torn down and deep cleaned. I’ve thought long and hard about either wrapping the car or even painting it but when it comes down to picking a color I’m overwhelmed by all the choices and it’s hard to pick just one. Other than those major things I’d like to do some seats and reupholster the headliner to be black.
Is there anything you would have done differently if you could go back?
I wish I had just taken the leap and gone straight to air suspension instead of taking the baby steps to get where I am today.
Shout Outs
I’d like to thank most importantly my girlfriend Kacey for dealing with all the hours of back and forth to Connecticut trying to fix my car over the course of a year. Jake Gustafson, Chris Orrell and Jake Brouliete (I couldn’t pick a order for you three, it’s impossible) without you three my car would be no where near where it is today. With the help of installing a new motor or new aftermarket parts I’d like to thank you guys for all of the countless hours of help. Daniel Parra I’d like to also thank you for holding down the great fort known as Cruze Culture, although it is going away, you sir have made the greatest impact on the Cruze Community.
